Inviting you in: Co-Design the New DYCU
A Big Success
Data You Can Use has served as a workshop for the nonprofit community since 2019. In that time we’ve served over 300 participants over 12 sessions. The feedback from participants told us this opportunity to review the basics of creating a data and evaluation process for their organization’s programs was invaluable. The focus on equitable evaluation practices in recent years has helped create a space where individuals and teams can question, learn and create with support from experts. All in all, it’s been a big success… and we’re about to change almost everything about it.
So Why Change It?
The primary reason we’re changing this offering is because demand for this offering continues to be high. Every session maxes out registration, the resources and tools are consistently utilized by participants, and we get questions about the topics discussed regularly. We realize this information is too valuable to live in a workshop only offered 2-3 times a year. We envision a change where the course materials are available to everyone online in a virtual, on-demand learning environment.
A secondary benefit is that we recognize that there’s a lot of content and not a lot of time for application in a workshop. This format will enable us to focus on troubleshooting, problem-solving and connection during our synchronous gatherings.
Can We Learn With You?
But, we can’t make this change without you. We’re hoping to learn alongside alumni, nonprofit staff, and data community members to co-create this change at every step of the way. Data You Can Use is yours, and we’d love to join you in unlocking “collective power and capacity for [it to be a] transformative solution.”
We’ll kick off the last synchronous full-workshop of DYCU this February with conversation prompts at the end about what information is valuable to you. If you want to learn and reflect this is a great opportunity to join us.
We’re holding space for an Advisory Co-Design Team to support 2 sense-making sessions where we prioritize what needs to be included in virtual learning segments, co-create an evaluation process together, and determine our budget for this evaluation and how it should be spent. This is a great opportunity to be part of a co-design process and experience the Most Significant Change framework .
We’ll launch your co-designed DYCU and utilize your evaluation processes as a part of the new DYCU to plan for future offerings beyond 2025.
Good Measure courses are all about responding to the needs of the data sector and we invite you to be with us as we ensure this learning and experience is accessible, useful, and relevant in the coming year.
