Community Funding In Action
The 2021 Evaluation Mini-Grants program focused on community-driven evaluation to enhance program efficacy and impact. During the release, questions about equity and accessibility arose during this process, and in 2022 we began adjusting our Good Measure role to create more opportunities for partnership. Recipients of this funding included: Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Austin Area, Communities in Schools Central Texas, Hill Country Ride for AIDS, and Texas State Independent Living Council.
Our mid-year reports arrived in early 2022, and our final report was scheduled for the summer of 2022. However, in order to better develop trust between Steering Committee funders and nonprofits, we offered the opportunity to for a final phone call in lieu of a video or written report. All 4 recipients took us up on the closeout call.
We also worked with Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Austin Area to develop this video documenting how the Mini Grants Funding changed their program evaluation process.
